Feb 27, 1947 - March 3, 2024 Claudia Nina Sweers, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by love on March 3, 2024, at 77 years old. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and boundless love that touched the hearts of all who knew her. Lovingly known as True Blue Love, Claudia and her devoted husband and partner in crime, Kelly Sweers, enjoyed 35 beautiful years of togetherness, during which they created a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Claudia was the proud mother of five beautiful gems: John (Brandi), Robert, James (Stephen), Russell (Janet), and Michael (Janice). Her love knew no bounds as she nurtured and supported each of her children through life's joys and challenges. Affectionately known as Grandma B by Brittany (Sean), Kayla (Darren), Jake, Kyle (Steff), and Shannon (Adewale), Claudia's heart overflowed with pride and joy. She cherished her five grandchildren dearly, reveling in their laughter and celebrating every milestone with boundless delight. With the addition of her seven beautiful great-grandchildren—Seth, Mason, Declen, Everly, Amiyah, Daxten, and the upcoming arrival of Malik—Claudia's love continued to flourish. She cherished every precious moment spent with them, showering them with affection and love. Claudia treasured her close bond with Vanessa, spending countless days together enjoying TV programs and movies, having their Pennington's clothes shopping dates, and indulging in her food tasting adventures. Claudia had a radiant spirit that touched the lives of everyone she met. Whether through her work in a group home, where she became a special mama to many, or in her everyday interactions, Claudia's kindness and compassion left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of those around her. Her love for simple pleasures, such as cheeseburgers, egg McMuffins, and fried leftover spaghetti, reflected her appreciation for life's little joys. Claudia's zest for life was contagious, and she approached each day with a smile and a heart full of love. Claudia is preceded in death by her parents, Matilda “Tillie” Ansley and Claude Bidwell, sister Trudy, grandson Jayden, and great-grandson Matteo. Though she may have left this earthly realm, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known her. In celebrating Claudia's life, let us cherish the memories we shared, hold dear the love she bestowed upon us, and find comfort in knowing that her legacy of love will continue to shine brightly through the lives she touched.
