Faith Jackson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Faith Jackson 1933-2022 Faith, born on July 20, 1933, died peacefully on July 27, 2022 at the age of 89 at Toronto General Hospital surrounded by her children & family members. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 45 years Ernest Bruce Jackson, son Bruce Wayne, daughter Donna Lewis; parents the late Charles and Gladys Baldwin, & brothers Stan, Gerald, Gordon, Carl, Eugene & Albert. Faith is greatly missed by her children Marva Jackson, Glen Jackson (Ruth), Michele Simoes (Rick), 11 grandchildren Camille, Tamara, Justice, Glenn, Bruce, Richard, Kira, Terry-Ann, Faith, Terence and Renee, 10 great-grandchildren Briana, Cyle, Trinity, Xander, Tamara, Yiesella, Jeter, Tre, Isis and Jaydon & 2 great-great grandchildren Ariah and Jaxon, & her partner of 25 years Richard Blackman. Deeply missed by brothers Leonard Baldwin (Ernestine). Ronald Baldwin, sisters Pat Manley, Andrea Lane (Bob), sister-in-law Roberta (Carl), brother-in-law Lawrence Jackson (Dolores), & many nieces & nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews & their families, cousins & many, many friends. After her children were grown, Faith worked as a PSW at Guildwood Nursing Home were she joined the union as treasurer. She took courses & worked her way up through the ranks to become a Business Agent & oversaw five nursing homes. At age 50 she was appointed by the Government of Ontario to the Workplace Safety & Insurance Appeals Tribunal as a Workers' Representative Adjudicator. It was supposed to be a two year appointment, but she worked past retirement age to the age of 85. She loved her job & was held in the highest esteem by her peers. Her sense of equality & justice empowered her to become an exceptional asset at her job. She was a force to be reckoned with, by enveloping anyone she met with her wit, humour & courage to speak her mind. Faith had many health issues over the years, but it never stopped her from enjoying life to the fullest. She travelled all over the world & made friends wherever she went. She was loved and respected by those who knew her. Throughout her life, she exemplified honesty, ,empathy & generosity. She loved her family & her family loved her. Faith was an avid reader but her true passion was shopping. She loved shopping for clothes, shoes and purses. She had style & she always looked like she had just stepped out of a fashion magazine.
