She is survived by her son Michel (Rosanne) Boulay of Iroquois Falls, her daughter Patricia (Jeff) Lennon of Scarborough, her daughter Linda (Craig) Cockburn of Oro-Medonte, and her daughter Lise (Gaetan) Boulay of Stittsville as well as 7 grandchildren, Christopher, Crystal, Robert, Michelle, Kimberly, Nicholas and Alexie and 3 great grandchildren Ryland, Cohen, and Tristan. Gisèle was born in Mason Quebec on January 22,1929. The family moved to Iroquois Falls where she grew up. She was predeceased by her ex-husband Fernand Boulay, her parents Royal and Jeanne (nee Monette) Lascelle , her sisters Laura Boileau and Claudette McCrea, her brothers, Roland Lascelle and Gaston Lascelle . Gisele will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Gisèle, also known as "Mrs. B", worked at the Royal Bank in Sturgeon Falls for a good part of her life and everyone in town knew her as she had a knack for making friends and getting involved in the community. She was a hard working woman who loved deeply and gave generously of her time. She enjoyed country music and never missed a good party. She was Treasurer at the "Club Sourire de l'Eglise St Antoine de Padoue" in Niagara Falls She was a good cook, an excellent hostess and an outstanding Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother. Her tourtières (meat pies), wild game ragout, and peanut butter balls made with great love at Christmas time were heaven on a plate. She loved dressing up at Halloween with her sisters and you would often see the three of them in theme costumes having a great time and doing what they loved best...making people laugh! Never one to waste time she had a lot of hobbies like bowling, bicycling, knitting however her passion was yard sales. She would plan her route, mark her stops and would bargain down the prices all while having a good chat with everyone. She was a sharp dresser and loved matching purses and hats to her outfits. She was often spotted wearing her favorite color Purple. She did not have a mean bone in her body but you would not have wanted to get between her and the last piece of pickerel at a family get together! May she rest in eternal peace. The family would like to thank all of you who have expressed your feelings for Mom since her passing. Your kindness and heartfelt words have helped us a great deal and we are grateful. As per her wishes there will be no funeral, however, a Celebration of Life will be held this summer at a special place that she loved, "Cameron's Beach in Iroquois Falls," .The date and details will be posted on this site as they become available. Her final resting place will be the Abitibi Cemetery in Iroquois Falls.
