It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, aunt, and friend, Rosario Henriquez, who left us on March 12, 2025. It’s hard to put into words the kind of light Rosario,brought into this world, but here we are—trying to honour a life that was anything but ordinary. The only girl among four loving brothers, she carved out her own wild, beautiful space in the world. Born in Chile, she had the kind of curiosity that couldn’t be contained. In her twenties, she set off on her own, first to Brazil, then eventually finding her forever home in Canada. Her story was never about settling—it was always about exploring, connecting, and living freely. She had that rare kind of energy that made people feel seen. She never had children of her own, but if you were lucky enough to be her niece or nephew, you’d never know the difference. She loved like a mother, listened like a sister, and celebrated you like a best friend. Her spirit stayed adventurous right until the end. She laughed often, danced when the mood struck, and lived life on her terms. She was magic like that. We’ll miss her terribly—but more than that, we’ll remember her wildly. La única mujer entre cuatro hermanos que la adoraban (y muchas veces la protegían), ella se hizo su propio espacio en el mundo: salvaje, hermoso y totalmente suyo. Nacida en Chile, tenía una curiosidad que no se podía contener. En sus veintitantos años, partió sola—primero a Brasil, y luego encontró su hogar definitivo en Canadá. Su historia nunca fue de conformarse, siempre fue de explorar, conectar y vivir libre. Tenía esa energía especial que hacía que todos se sintieran vistos. Nunca tuvo hijos, pero si tuviste la suerte de ser su sobrina o sobrino, jamás lo hubieras notado. Amaba como una madre, escuchaba como una hermana, y te celebraba como una mejor amiga. Su espíritu aventurero la acompañó hasta el final. Se reía con ganas, bailaba cuando le daba la gana, y vivía la vida a su manera. Tenía esa magia. La vamos a extrañar muchísimo—pero más que nada, la vamos a recordar con toda la fuerza.
